It has been a busy week to 10 days for concert going for me.Started with Joan Jett and Smashmouth at rockin the rally up by Sturgis. Then it was over to Rockin the rivers on the 10th for Kansas and Molly Hatchet. Rockin the rivers is a 3 day fest over in 3 forks Mt. Over the years they have had almost everybody that rocks there. Last sunday my nephew talked my into going to Saliva and Papa Roach at the fair here in Billings Mt. Saliva was good but Papa Roach must not be my thing. What was your last concert or concerts you all went to?

Willie nelson sometime in the last ten years. I finally got to meet him ,get my pic taken with him and an autograph. The friends who went with us had known him since he started and he had played at their house. They even lived next door to him in goodlettsville.tn." Gee aint it funny how time slips away!"

Not unlike Wingy, my last concert was Joan Jett and The Blackhearts and the one before that was Joan Jett and The Blackhearts!
The only band that is so nice, I seen 'em twice....thusfar!

Gus, I saw Zappa plays Zappa last year. They have tour link if you go to zappa plays zappa .com
they have a trailer for the upcoming dvd.
I can only say it was one of the best shows I have seen in mny years. Dweezil is serious guitarist and he assembled an amazing band that had his fathers complex music down cold. It was HOT. A definite celebration, It was warm in regard to how humble Zappa's son was to be playing his fathers music.
Top quality for sure, if anyone is curious about the intensity and skill needed for Zappa's music you will love it.

Marianne Faithfull in Liverpool back in May this year. She was fantastic... Since she didn't have any record to promote this time around - she played a lot of obscure songs, along with all the old standards. She came out on stage after the show to meet and greet the audience. What a lovely lady!

Does Dweezil have anyone from his dads band jam with him? It would be interesting to see how Dweezil,Steve Vai,and Adrian Belew play together. I had Dweezil's version of My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Mother. Very tastfully done brought up to date for late 80's. But was vrey good. [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]
